Mike Lochstampfor began as head coach of the Brenau University soccer team with the start of the 2002 season. Lochstampfor came to Brenau after serving as the Director of Men's/Women's Soccer programs at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. While at Oglethorpe, Lochstampfor served as the head coach for both teams, compiling a record of 52-49-5 with the women's program. He coached numerous All-Region and All-Conference performers and produced regional rankings for the first time in the program's history.
Prior to coming to that, Lochstampfor held previous college positions. He served as head men's soccer coach at Reinhardt College, Waleska, GA and helped start a program that would eventually gain prominence in soccer at the junior college level. His first coaching position was at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. During Lochstampfor's two-year tenure at Midwestern, the program twice reached the national tournament and were championship finalists in 1991.
As a player, Lochstampfor competed for four years while attending Covenant College (TN). He was twice named to NAIA All-American teams in addition to receiving All-Region and All-Conference awards. Lochstampfor has played semi-professionally both in the U.S. and overseas.
Lochstampfor continues to coach at the youth level. He has been active in youth coaching in both Georgia and Texas. He has directed many camps and clinics and currently directs the Golden Tigers Soccer Camp at BRENAU UNIVERSITY.
