In February, some of our runners ran the Charles Harris 10K to stay in shape during their off season. Senior, Rachel Nodine set a blistering pace and set a new PR of 41:57 for herself. She qualified for the subseded group at the Peachtree Road Race that will take place on the 4th of July.
Monica Muchene , freshman, set a great pace for her first 10k in a time of 45:32. She qualified for timed group one at the Peachtree Road Race. Audra Cochran, freshman, did her first 10K and qualified for timed group two at the Peachtree Road Race.
Rachel and Monica both took second place in their age groups.
In North Carolina, Katrina Beck, took on a serious challenge during her off season by running the Black Mountain Trail Marathon. This was Katrina's first marathon and she did it in an astounding six hours and ten minutes.
