Season Outlook
2007-2008
Our women have been training hard toward our main goal -- to have a great beginning to our swim meet season. “My girls”, as I call them, are all working diligently. It is not easy to wake up at 4:30 a.m. and get in the water right away, then study and do weight and strength training, and then swim some more (about 10,000 to 14,000 yards a day, depending on the type of swimmer). |

We had a tough start since most of our swimmers are freshmen and team members who transferred from other schools. Because of this, there was no captain to lead them in the beginning. But, as a great friend once told me, “If you can start and make it through when times are hard, the following years are going to be a piece of cake!” And that’s what we are looking for – the years to come. We are going to maintain the hard work, while increasing the number and quality of swimmers for next season.
Brenau has been really supportive of the girls and me. We have overcome all the difficulties and transitions with the help of our school staff. I sincerely appreciate that, and I am hopeful that this “Dream Team” of mine places in the top three at Conference and the top ten at NAIA Nationals this season.
Be careful, opponents! You’ll be surprised with what we can do in so little time….
Gooooooooooooo Golden Tigers!
